The ground rules.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Open Applier, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Open Applier helps you upload a real resume, complete an application profile, review matched jobs, tailor resume artifacts, and fill supported ATS flows. Final review and submission remain under your control.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration. You must be at least 18 years old to use this service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Open Applier to submit fraudulent applications, misrepresent your qualifications, or violate any job platform's terms of service. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all information in your resumes and applications.

5. Data and Privacy

Your use of Open Applier is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process personal data including resumes, job preferences, and application history as described therein.

6. AI-Tailored Content

Open Applier uses large language models to generate tailored resumes, cover letters, and application answers from content you provide. AI output can contain errors, omissions, or hallucinations. You are solely responsible for reviewing every AI-generated artifact before submission and for ensuring that the final content is truthful and consistent with your base resume and lived experience.

You may not use Open Applier to submit false credentials, fabricated experience, inflated titles, invented employers, or any materially misleading statement to an employer. You remain solely accountable for the contents of every application you approve, whether it was produced by a human or by a model.

AI models may produce variant phrasings that, in aggregate, could correlate with protected characteristics (gender, race, age, disability) even when those fields are not in the prompt. Open Applier does not pass demographic or EEO data into tailoring prompts, and we filter against a denylist of obviously discriminatory output, but no automated system is perfect. You retain final responsibility for ensuring the resume and cover letter you submit are non-discriminatory and lawful in your jurisdiction. Open Applier disclaims liability for employment outcomes attributable to lawful or unlawful employer screening behavior, including any disparate-impact analysis attaching to AI-generated artifacts you choose to submit.

7. Automated Submission and ATS Compliance

Open Applier provides tooling — a browser extension and web application — that assists with filling and submitting job applications to supported Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS): Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby. Some ATS providers and employers restrict or prohibit automated interaction under their own terms of service. You are responsible for complying with any ATS, employer, or platform terms that apply to your applications, including any that prohibit scripted form-filling or automated submission.

Open Applier presents a review step before every submission. By approving a submission you (a) confirm that you have reviewed the final values being sent, (b) authorize Open Applier to submit on your behalf, and (c) accept responsibility for the submission under any applicable ATS or employer terms. We may impose per-user rate limits or disable automation against specific platforms if we receive takedown requests or observe abusive patterns; those limits are not a release from your individual compliance obligation.

8. Billing and Subscriptions

Open Applier offers two plan tiers:

• Free ($0/month) — unlimited applications via the browser extension with rule-based job matching.
• Pro ($5/month) — everything in Free plus unlimited AI-tailored resumes, cover letters, and LLM-powered job scoring.

The Pro plan is billed through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; your plan will remain active until the end of the billing period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which includes a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first Pro charge. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any pricing changes take effect.

9. Limitation of Liability

Open Applier is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not responsible for the outcome of any job application, including rejections, lost applications, or consequences arising from information you choose to submit.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through Settings, which will permanently remove all your data.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. When we make material changes — for example, to the AI-tailoring clause in Section 6 or the automated-submission clause in Section 7 — we will require a fresh consent before your next sign-in.
